Reverse Engineering

Reverse engineering is a process which identifies a physical object’s properties by performing a comprehensive analysis of its structure, functions and operations.

Reverse engineering is the process of working ‘backwards’ from the end result of an original process and surveying to obtain the information needed.

Reverse engineering allows designers to understand how a space was designed in order to modify, enhance, replicate or replace. For this project, a 5-story stairwell in the London Metropolitan University was used.
